You need a safe place to turn when worries or fears overwhelm you and leave you feeling confused or stuck — a place where you will feel seen, heard and understood, not labelled or judged. Being vulnerable is not easy. At Sanctuary, we want you to feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible, so we offer alternatives, from traditional in-office sessions to telehealth for those who prefer to be in the comfort of their own home. In addition, we offer walk and talk therapy, so you can gain the additional benefits of movement and being outdoors. Together, we will identify meaningful and attainable goals, which will activate the change and growth you are looking for.

At Sanctuary, we realize that not everyone wishes to attend therapy at an office. High levels of anxiety; phobias; lack of confidentiality; transportation issues or physical limitations can create barriers. In addition, busy lives can make it difficult to carve out enough time to attend. With Sanctuary, you have options. We offer a variety of venues from which you can choose.

Tele-health

You may prefer the convenience of meeting online for video counselling. Alternatively, a session can be provided by phone call.

Walk & Talk

Let’s get out of the office and have a session outside while we walk. The bi-lateral movement of walking can facilitate the processing of your thoughts and feelings.

In-Office

We can meet in the office if you prefer a private, face-to-face meeting where there is no worry of meeting someone you know or being interrupted by a family member while you are at home.

We will curate a plan that is specifically focused on your presenting issues, using evidence-based interventions drawn from a variety of theoretical modalities. We are happy to boast that we are trauma-informed and will work collaboratively with you to reach your goals.

Focuses on present-day issues and generates solutions based on your strengths, noted exceptions, and through the use of scaling questions.
